Kristine Breithaupt is the owner of Last Word Strategies. She has served as staff or consultant to dozens of statewide, local, national, and international campaigns since 2008. Her experience includes twenty years in a range of public communications roles; from journalism to digital advertising.
Before going independent, Breithaupt led political advertising campaigns for TEGNA and Advance Local. Clients range from candidates and ballot initiatives around the United States, to law firms, schools, advocacy groups, events, medical groups, and more.
Breithaupt is guided by a principle dating back to her journalism days: "If your mother says she loves you, fact-check that."
